Baptism
The ordinance of Baptism is to be observed as an act of obedience and as perpetual witness to the cardinal truths of the Christian faith.
Baptism is understood as identification with the Lord Jesus Christ in His death, burial and resurrection as a sign of the gospel. Some understand this to refer to the baptism of believers and others to the baptism of the children of believing parents.
The ordinance of Baptism will be performed on request for:
Believers who wish to be immersed as a confession of their faith;
The children of believers who are members of the church, as the acceptance of all God’s promises for the child/children by the parents, and that the parents pledge to raise their children in the Christian faith.
